QueryOracle Fusionwith plain SQL

An online SQL workbench for Oracle Fusion Cloud. Write SQL in your browser, see results in seconds and export to Excel — no BI Publisher reports to build.

Works across Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications

  • Product Development
  • Supply Chain
  • Financials
  • Procurement
  • HCM
  • Project Management

Features

Everything you need to explore Fusion data

Built by a Fusion PLM engineer for consultants, developers and support teams who live in Fusion data every day.

An SQL editor that knows Fusion

Syntax highlighting, autocomplete for keywords, table names and columns after "alias.", bind variables, formatting and multiple tabs.

Results in seconds

A virtual-scrolling grid handles tens of thousands of rows. Sort, filter, and copy a column as an IN list.

Export to CSV and Excel

Up to 1,000,000 cells per query. Long Fusion IDs stay exact instead of turning into scientific notation.

Object browser

Search Fusion tables and views such as EGP_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B, then browse their columns without leaving the editor.

History and favorites

Every execution is saved on the server. Re-run past queries and keep your best SQL as favorites.

Multiple environments

Manage DEV, TEST and PROD connections side by side, with color tags so you always know where you are.

Skip the BI Publisher detour

Oracle Fusion is SaaS, so there is no direct database access. Usually an ad-hoc query means building a report first.

The usual way

  1. Create a BI Publisher data model
  2. Paste the SQL and save it
  3. Create a report and a layout
  4. Run it, download the output, open in Excel
  5. Repeat for every change to the SQL

⏱ 10–15 minutes per query

With Fusion SQL

  1. Type the SQL
  2. Press Ctrl + Enter
  3. Export to Excel if you need to
select item_number, description
from egp_system_items_vl
where item_number like 'PCB-%'

⚡ A few seconds

How it works

Up and running in three steps

  1. 1

    Sign up free

Create an account with your email. Nothing to install — it runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox.

  2. 2

    Add your Fusion connection

Paste the Fusion URL you log in with and enter a Fusion user that can use BI Publisher.

  3. 3

    Write SQL and run

Query any table or view, inspect the results and export them to CSV or Excel.

Security

Designed with your Fusion credentials in mind

You choose whether your Fusion password is stored at all.

Encrypted or session-only passwords

Saved Fusion passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Or keep them in memory for the current session only.

Read-only by design

Only SELECT and WITH statements are executed. Fusion SQL cannot change your data.

Locked to Oracle Cloud

Connections are only allowed to https://*.oraclecloud.com, which protects against server-side request forgery.

Isolated per user

Each user only sees their own connections, history and favorites. Query results are never written to our database.

Use cases

Made for the people who keep Fusion running

Troubleshooting

Check item, BOM, change order or transaction data the moment a user reports a problem.

Data migration

Validate FBDI and REST loads by comparing source files with what actually landed in Fusion.

Report development

Prototype and tune SQL for BIP and OTBI reports before you build the final report.

Configuration review

Inspect lookups, value sets and setup data across DEV, TEST and PROD.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Fusion SQL free?

Yes. All current features are free. Paid team plans may be added later, but the features available today will stay free.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Fusion SQL runs in your browser. You do not need a database client, a VPN or any changes in Fusion beyond a one-time data model (see below).

What permissions does my Fusion user need?

The first time an environment is used, the user needs write access to the BI Publisher folder /Custom/FusionSQLTool (for example a BI Author or BI Administrator role) so Fusion SQL can create its query data model once. After that, any user who can run that data model can query.

Can I use it if I sign in to Fusion with SSO only?

Not yet. Fusion SQL needs a Fusion username and password to call BI Publisher. Ask your Fusion administrator for a user that can sign in with a password.

Can Fusion SQL change data in Fusion?

No. Only SELECT and WITH statements are accepted, and they run through BI Publisher, which is read-only.

Does it respect Fusion data security?

Queries run as the BI Publisher database user, so application-level row security (business units, inventory organizations and so on) does not apply. Follow your company data policies and only query data you are allowed to see.

How is my Fusion password protected?

If you choose to save it, it is encrypted with AES-256-GCM on the server. If not, it is kept in server memory for your current session only and cleared when you sign out.

What are the limits?

Up to 50,000 rows and 1,000,000 cells per query, 3 concurrent queries per user and a 300-second timeout. Exports are available for 15 minutes after a query finishes.

Is Fusion SQL affiliated with Oracle?

No. Fusion SQL is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Oracle.
